We recommend building additional replication sites for the SMA Astronomical Data Archive besides the primary site in Hilo in order to reduce the data transfer traffic. The current development site in Cambridge can be used as the secondary site for replicating the data archive. For the ASIAA, there will be significant number of users who will access the SMA data. The replication data archive suggested here will enable the researchers to access the data locally; therefore the data transaction time will be shortened adequately. The maintenance and continuing development are required in order to maintain robust performance. It is necessary for the SAO to have the hardware and software identical for both the primary site and replication sites. The uniformity will effectively eliminate the redundant work in system management and software upgrading.
For the ASIAA, they can develop a storage/archive system based on their resources.
